Investors who apply for more than Rs 2. lakhs in an IPO are called HNI (High Net Worth Individual).

Individuals and institutions applying for more than Rs 2 Lakh are eligible to be included in the NII category.

HNIs are classified under NII. NIIs are entitled to a 15% reserve allocation on shares. HNIs also get the same 15% share allocation.
