The Authority does not specify a time frame. It takes about 15-30 days to rectify PAN data. You can check the status of your request for rectification online by using the acknowledgement number you have received. For corrections/changes in your PAN card name, follow the steps below.
1. You can fill out the PAN correction/change application (form 49) at any NSDL counter near you or online. Once you submit the form, an acknowledgement slip will be sent to you with your acknowledgement number. This allows you to view the status of PAN online.
